It’s been a long journey, many iterations on the way. It all started as an idea based on many different bash scripts and hacky solutions I had in place. That idea, when shared with my co-founder Barry, turned into a full fledged solution.
A solution that focuses on scanning, monitoring and informing everything there is to do around Site Health and Performance Monitoring for your WordPress site. And with that Scanfully was born.
We’ve opened up Early Access earlier this week and we’ve received tons of positive feedback as well as little bugs here and there. We’re over the moon to finally open up Scanfully for everyone!
What are we launching with?
If you’ve ever built software based on an idea you’ve had, you know the hardest thing, apart from the technical side of things, is determining what goes into version 1.0. For us, this proved to be quite the challenge as well because the more we brainstormed, the more features we saw we needed to have.
Over the course of the last 12+ months in talking with all of you (at the various WordCamps I’ve been to) confirmed our ideas were not only solid, they were needed!
This is what we’ve landed on for version 1.0:
- Uptime Monitor
- Performance Monitor
- WordPress Site Health overview
- WordPress Events Timeline
- Notifications for email and Discord (Slack will follow soon!)
We are very enthusiastic with the foundation of features we have for you right now. But again, this is just the beginning! We’re going to be doing two things now that we’ve launched version 1.0. We’re going to be adding lots of features going forward, but we’ll also be expanding on existing features. Making them even more complete.
The first set of features we’ll be adding are a Vulnerability Scanner, a Content Health scanner, and an SSL Certificate Monitor, and much much more.
But for now, we’re eager for you to check out our dashboard, add a site and help you on your way to a healthier and more performant WordPress site!
