Connect your website to Scanfully

Once you’ve created your Scanfully account, connecting it to your WordPress site is next. There are two ways on how to do this:

Via Scanfully

In your Sites menu, your find a red button that says “Connect new website”. Clicking on this will prompt the following pop-up.

Connect your WordPress website modal inside the Scanfully dashboard

Type in the full URL of your website, including the https:// part and click on Connect website after. You will then be redirected to log into your WordPress site. Once you’re logged in, you’ll end up at a screen that has our Scanfully WordPress plugin preselected to be installed.

Once you’ve installed and activated our plugin, all you need to do is follow the link in that’s now visible in your dashboard and finish setting up Scanfully.

finish setting up Scanfully

Clicking that link will present the following screen:

Connect your Scanfully account

Assuming you are still in the same browser and still logged into your Scanfully account, clicking the Connect your Scanfully account button will connect your WordPress site with your Scanfully account.

If your WordPress site is not yet present in your Scanfully dashboard, please select Create new site and hit enter. That’s it. You’re all set for monitoring and getting in control of your site’s health and performance.

Via WordPress

The route via WordPress is very similar to what’s outlined above. Instead of starting from your Scanfully dashboard, you’ll start from your WordPress dashboard.

  1. Install and activate our WordPress plugin
  2. Follow the promt and Connect your WordPress site

There’s nothing more to it.

Connecting a non-WordPress site

Connecting a non-WordPress site to our dashboard only works from within your Scanfully account. Clicking the Connect your website button will launch a modal. At the very bottom, you’ll find a link that says “Click here to manually add your website”. Follow its steps and you’ll be able to connect your non-WordPress site that way.

Please note that the WordPress Events Timeline and the Site Health section will not work for non-WordPress sites.
